“Hope” and “Beauty” selected for VISARTS FACULTY & STUDENT SHOW 2021
Daughter of our land
Rockville Art League Art League Juried Members’ Winter Show 2020/21 … I selected art which was evocative on multiple levels. I sought out artistic expressions where the use of the medium was proficient while the artist also pushed the boundaries of expectation. I searched for artistic compositions that revealed our world in a new perspective while conveying the human condition. I connected with images of life that stirred me to think deeply about what the artist was saying and what […]
When you are sinking deep, hitting rock bottom in a dark space feeling worthless and suddenly out of nowhere your mind is filled with the feeling of pure love, beauty and light giving you hope. Yes hope giving you the strength to rise up. Hold on to that hope tightly for you are worth it, so worth it. Yes you are 💗
My mind was filled with the hurtful words said earlier,
Bringing tears to my eyes.
I looked around,
I see the beautiful sunset,
I see the beautiful cherry blossom,
I see the beautiful Potomac river where John Quincy Adams, the 6th president of USA swam nude,
I see the tall Washington monument in DC.
Most importantly I see love around me,
Gratitude filled my heart,
Bringing me back to Now,
Bringing back my smile.
The power of Now is there for you too 💗

Of love, beauty, peace and healing. Many times we get stuck into the definition and expectation as defined by society. As I painted this flower inspired by the beautiful Shirui lily of Manipur, I thought of it as a symbol of beauty and love blooming in the midst of my healing birthplace. This flower can only bring out a smile in you, giving you the feeling of unconditional love, that moment of freedom where you are only you. There is no anger nor hatred nor violence nor judgement, just a moment of you being you.
I painted the beautiful rare Shirui lily for the children of Kanggui Hope. Art products of this painting raised USD 1001 for Kanggui Hope children for their education. I believe that education can take a child places, give freedom and empowerment — it has for me.
Jone would go to the local joints where dog meat is served and would do cute stunts saluting the customers as his master Jotin was hoping that the customers may change their mind of eating dog meat seeing such a cute lovable 💗dog
I want to share about some of the incidents in Manipur to your questions on why I am very passionate and driven about my initiatives and projects of FindingTheVoices to spread positivity and love. I feel that we are all so lost with anger in the midst of conflict and identity, and have forgotten the humanity within us. These are some of the incidents which have touched me deeply…
During my darkest times, when I closed my eyes thinking of love, purity, protection and blessing, it was the image of my grandmother’s morning offering which came to my mind many times giving me so much of strength, strength making all the darkness fade way, filling me with love.

I started this painting on 14th Sept 2018 filled with such heaviness and pain after watching the videos of mob culture in Manipur questioning myself with How many Farooque has to die? Where is humanity? What are we teaching the kids?

The host is a very motivational figure and is none other than Monica Ingudam. She’s from the USA while her heart still resides in Manipur. Her looks and charisma while speaking makes the listeners so calm and cool. Having a strong family background from Kwakeithel, her love and dedication towards her father is commendable. Words can’t satisfy her stories.

Dzukou lily of Manipur Oil Painting by Monica IngudamCanvas paper20 by 10 inch2018Original – SOLD, found a home at Australia, proceeds to Palliative Care Society, Imphal, Manipur. For the longest time, I have been working on the fundraising idea for Palliative Care but it hasn’t panned out the way I had planned. During my meditation with the centering thought “Linking energy and fulfillment. When I feel fulfilled, I have enough energy for anything needed” I got a thought of myself […]
