Painting: Hope
When you are sinking deep, hitting rock bottom in a dark space feeling worthless and suddenly out of nowhere your mind is filled with the feeling of pure love, beauty and light giving you hope. Yes hope giving you the strength to rise up. Hold on to that hope tightly for you are worth it, so worth it. Yes you are 💗

Painting: Now
Now
My mind was filled with the hurtful words said earlier,
Bringing tears to my eyes.
I looked around,
I see the beautiful sunset,
I see the beautiful cherry blossom,
I see the beautiful Potomac river where John Quincy Adams, the 6th president of USA swam nude,
I see the tall Washington monument in DC.
Most importantly I see love around me,
Gratitude filled my heart,
Bringing me back to Now,
Bringing back my smile.
The power of Now is there for you too 💗

Painting: Love
Of love, beauty, peace and healing. Many times we get stuck into the definition and expectation as defined by society. As I painted this flower inspired by the beautiful Shirui lily of Manipur, I thought of it as a symbol of beauty and love blooming in the midst of my healing birthplace. This flower can only bring out a smile in you, giving you the feeling of unconditional love, that moment of freedom where you are only you. There is no anger nor hatred nor violence nor judgement, just a moment of you being you.

Painting: Shirui Lily
I painted the beautiful rare Shirui lily for the children of Kanggui Hope. Art products of this painting raised USD 1001 for Kanggui Hope children for their education. I believe that education can take a child places, give freedom and empowerment — it has for me.

Painting: Katchaba
During my darkest times, when I closed my eyes thinking of love, purity, protection and blessing, it was the image of my grandmother’s morning offering which came to my mind many times giving me so much of strength, strength making all the darkness fade way, filling me with love.

For the longest time, I have been working on the fundraising idea for Palliative Care but it hasn’t panned out the way I had planned. Painting: Nanao’s Telangga
Nanao’s Telangga, Nanao’s Kite in meiteilon (Manipuri). I drew this painting remembering my little brother’s love for flying kites in Manipur. He loved flying kites as a kid. He was one of the best in our leikai (community) and known for his excellent skills for cutting other’s kite. He was very possessive of his kites and it was on very rare occasion that he would let me fly. I enjoyed watching the cutting kites and the excitement, running behind the […]

The Painting
The Painting She turned to painting, To restrain words, Words she wanted to holler. She turned to painting, To pour her grief, Praying with every stroke of the brush. She stopped painting, She stopped praying, And resorted to silence. The incomplete painting lays in a corner, For years to come, Waiting for her to discover herself. And it’s time to complete the painting, To change the colors of grief to tranquility, And hang this painting to symbolize the strength she […]
