As I painted this flower inspired by the beautiful Shirui lily of Manipur, I thought of it as a symbol of beauty and love blooming in the midst of a healing state Manipur.
Jone would go to the local joints where dog meat is served and would do cute stunts saluting the customers as his master Jotin was hoping that the customers may change their mind of eating dog meat seeing such a cute lovable 💗dog
During my darkest times, when I closed my eyes thinking of love, purity, protection and blessing, it was the image of my grandmother’s morning offering which came to my mind many times giving me so much of strength, strength making all the darkness fade way, filling me with love.

I started this painting on 14th Sept 2018 filled with such heaviness and pain after watching the videos of mob culture in Manipur questioning myself with How many Farooque has to die? Where is humanity? What are we teaching the kids?
